If you've had a struggle with suicidal thoughts or have sttempted there are sources of help. Please share what is happening in your life.

Of if you have a friend you suspect is suicidal and don't know what to do this is the place to ask.

Please check out the bible study we do in our teen groups:

I AM SOMEBODY!

If you could change just one thing about you what would it be?

Psalm 139:13-16 Fearfully and wonderfully made
We are created, not the product of evolution.
We are to praise God every time we look into the mirror.
We need to know God’s plan for us.

2 Cor 12:7-10 Paul’s thorn
Ego trips don’t glorify God.
God’s power is made perfect in weakness.

Luke 19:1-10 Zacchaeus
Short tax collectors can have changed hearts.
What was the evidence that Zacchaeus had a changed heart?
Salvation comes to a changed heart that has made an about face.

John 8:1-11 No one!
She was surrounded by those who said she’s nobody.
Assess their hearts.
What did she see in Jesus’ eyes?
What was Jesus’ command to her?

Matthew 22:37-40 As yourself
What is your first love?
What is your second love?
Number two won’t work unless we first love ourselves.

“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
Psalm 139:14

Say it aout loud:

BECAUSE OF JESUS I AM SOMEBODY!

I have been thinking about this topic today.  I feel the need to share a story about my daughter.  When she was fourteen she had a huge fight with her father.  He could make you feel like you were nothing, worse than a piece of dirt on the floor.  So, she went in her room and took two bottles of her anti-depressant medication.  She didn't say a word about what she had done for the whole day.  Then, towards evening she told her grandmother what she had done.  She was taken to the emergency room, had her stomach pumped out and had to spend 10 days in  a psychiatric hospital.  The impact of her choice to attempt suicide had a huge impact on the family.  She didn't realize how much she meant to everyone.  The pediatrician told her that it was a permanent solution to a temporary problem.  She received the psychiatric and counseling help she needed.  Then about a year later under the same circumstances she tried again.  This time she told someone right away.  Again her stomach was pumped and she had to go to the psychiatric hospital to be evaluated.  This time she came home but I had to lock up all medicines for a long time before I could trust her.   Now a strong young woman.  She has a full time job and is engaged to be married.  So please, if you are thinking about suicide please seek help.  We want to pray with and for you.  You are a very special person and YOU ARE SOMEBODY !!!!!!!
