As a teen I faced violence at school and in my home. I was too ashamed to have friends come to my home. Finding someone who cared was a challenge. After many years of struggling with the memories of physical and sexual abuse I finally sought professional help. As I write this I'm on the eve of a milestone, my last session with my therapist!

Please don't wait as long as I did. We get help for hurts to the body. We need to do likewise for hurts to the heart. You too can know the joy of victory.

We want to hear your story regardless of where you're at.

my life isnt so easy but i try to put all the pain in god and let it go untill some one brings it up then i try to listen and change the subjet with out them nowing it.

I just want to know where to go to talk about feeling like i should always be conflicting pain on others...
i feel like murder and torture, it has been easy for me to control these urges, however, i recently moved to north carolina, and i feel like the urges have grown, alot. i am at the point now tht i can barely control the actions, let a lone the thoughts.

Thank you for sharing. Counseling thru your school or local mental health association can begin the process of determining what is happening with you. Causes can range from abuse done to you previously to something that can be corrected with medication.

Just as we go to a professional for hurts of the body, a professional can help you win the battle you are facing.
