I wanted to take an opportunity to share an insider's update on the happenings in Iraq. Understand that I have been back in the US for almost a year. I don't have instant contact with people over there, but I look at the news and view it through eyes that have been there. This is how I see it. It is horrible that so many American soldiers have given their lives for the Iraqi people. On the outside of this it would look as though things are going very badly for the American military. Although the losses are high, I think we are still headed in the right direction. It is a direction that supports the Iraqi people's journey toward freedom. The military has been involved in a new offensive near Baghdad-- again, I am getting this from your local news. In addition, they have been trying to move troops into more "hot areas". When this happens, the troop strength in the not so hot area is decreased. Hope it makes sense to you. Maybe we should send more troops over there, win this thing overwhelmingly, and get home that way. I still stand on the idea that we should stay until what we set out to do is done so that none of the deaths there will have been in vain. Let me know what you think. I look forward to hearing from you
Blessings, Jerry
