Thanks for sharing about your challenging time.  Verbal abuse can hurt as bad as being physically assaulted

This link will help you assess what is happening.

You need to sit down with someone you trust that can help you. It might be a school counselor, your youth group leader, pastor or your physician.

A professional can help you with coping skills and healing.

Please keep us posted of your progress.

thank u 4 the website. it was helpful. helped me realize that my parentals have been doing things to bring me down.

they make fun of my weight and everything i say they twist around and blow it of proportion. the turn others against me by telling them how bad i am. my parentals have also called me lazy.

what i hate most is my parents calling sibs pains in the asses and making them cry and not saying sorry. this pains me the most. my sibs r becomin more withdrawn.

r these signs of emotional abuse?

r there any ways 2 get help 4 this?

Your situation does sound like you are being abused. You need to talk to someone you can trust and explain your situation. Counseling is a big help in your situation. I know I have been in counseling for 10 years due to the emotional abuse my ex-husband and ex-mother-in-law instilled on me for over 20 years. There were days when I begged him to hit me and get it over with. I was so beaten up verbally/emotionally I wanted to die. That is when I accepted Jesus and began to learn that I am Somebody and that God does not expect us to be abused. My counselors were great and provided guidance and support through my recovery phases. You can do it too. We will be praying for you and your siblings. You can ask your physician or guidance counselor at school for a referral to a counseling agency. I know the pain you and your siblings are feeling but with help you will be able to grow out of this hurt. I KNOW it works I have been there and done that. God loves YOU and made YOU special. YOU do not deserve to be mistreated or abused. He wants more for you. Let us know how you are doing. If you want to talk more, you can email me at debbie@whenlifehurts.com

In many areas you can dial 211 and connect with help for your type of situation.

Or you can call 1-800-422-4453 which is child help.  Their web site is http://www.childhelp.org/get_help

They can get you started on the road to victory.

This is a time I can sure say "been there, done that.:I was teased both at school and at home over my weight and handicap.

It was only a couple of years ago that I completed therapy for the abuse I took as a kid.

Please don't wait as long as did.  I shoud've done it years ago.

Please write and update us.  We care.
