"The kid" is 7-year-old Cameron Hasson and he lives in Gastonia with parents Beverly and Eric.  Cameron sits at a small desk in his bedroom repeating, "This is KJ4EDF!" into what looks like an old CB radio microphone.  It’s one of those mics you see TV cops using in their patrol cars all the time when they’re calling for back-up.
